Who We Are

We See Possibility Where Others See Waste

Every discarded fabric tells a story. At Thread of Hope, we believe the end of a textile's first life doesn't have to mean the end of its value. We're building a movement that reimagines textile waste as a resource for innovation, enterprise, environmental protection and community development.

Through circular fashion, waste-to-value innovation, environmental education and practical green skills, we work with communities, young people, women, artisans, institutions and partners to create solutions that benefit both people and the planet.

The Problem

Textile Waste Is More Than Waste

Nigeria's textile and fashion ecosystem generates significant volumes of fabric scraps and unwanted garments, while recovery and recycling systems remain limited. Materials that could stay in productive use instead end up in dumpsites, waterways or open burning โ€” and with them, valuable skills and economic opportunities are lost.

Waste+Pollution+ Lost Resources+Lost Opportunities

We believe the solution requires more than awareness โ€” it requires practical systems, innovation, skills, markets and collective action.
